Adding your event to the Festival Calendar

To add an event to the Happening@Michigan calendar, your uniqname must be affiliated with an authorized group account.

To post a new event:

  • Go to events.umich.edu/manage/event/new and sign in with your U-M credentials.

  • Follow the prompts to create your event.

  • On the Keywords tab:

    • Type Michigan Arts Festival in the search box

    • Click the large + button

    • If prompted, click Use Custom Keyword.

  • Continue to follow the steps to publish your event.

  • Your event should populate on the festival calendar page within 10-15 minutes.

If you do not have the ability to post events on Happening@Michigan, you may reach out to the Arts Initiative for assistance at artsfestival@umich.edu.

To edit an existing event:

  • Go to events.umich.edu/me and sign in with your U-M credentials

  • Find the event you’d like to add and click the Edit Event button on the right side of the listing.

  • On the Keywords tab:

    • Type Michigan Arts Festival in the search box

    • Click the large + button

    • If prompted, click Use Custom Keyword.

  • Your published event listing should update automatically when you proceed to the next tab.

  • Your event should populate on the festival calendar page within 10-15 minutes.
