“Where Will You Run?”, by 58 Greene

Founded in 1993, 58 Greene is an all-gender acapella group at the University of Michigan. Earlier this week, they released a 9-minute studio recording of their 2026 set, “Where Will You Run?”, professionally recorded by Plymouth Rock studios.

This set combines four songs, two that especially resonated with me. One song in the set, “Me in 20 Years” by Moses Sumney highlights a theme that many students can surely relate to. As students at UMich, we often feel pressure to have our “next 20 years” all planned out. However, my favorite song from the set, Aurora’s “You Can't Run From Yourself” is a reminder that running towards the future is impossible without leaving space to remember who you truly are. Highlighting this relevant messaging are the tight harmonies, beautiful solos, and booming vocal percussion of 58 Greene.
