Each and every one of us has different corners around Ann Arbor that make us feel at home. For many University of Michigan students over the years, myself included, the first true “home” we felt on campus was at our first football game in Michigan Stadium. Isha Ventkatesh’s A Night Game at The Big House captured my attention for this reason.

The artist's note summarizes my feelings about The Big House perfectly: “No matter your age, major, identity, or background, we all come together and root for the same team”. The feeling of togetherness when cheering on the Wolverines from the student section is unrivaled. I’ll never forget the feeling of community that hit me during my first game, and that continues to strike me in every home game since. For Isha and I, and many other Wolverines, The Big House is an extremely special corner of campus.
