Critter Comix Week 16 !

A cat feeling a little less lonely after staring at the moon.

I love how colorful we know she is now.

This week’s been lonely. The kind of lonely that comes from friend problems. From things feeling off, conversations not landing the same, and that weird distance where you don’t know if you’re overthinking it or if something actually changed.

It’s frustrating because nothing is clearly wrong, but that doesn’t stop you from wondering if you said something weird, if you’re being annoying, or if you’re the only one who’s even been noticing the shift.

So I was just sitting in my room the other night. Not really doing anything: lights off, phone down, and I eventually ended up just staring out my window at the moon for a while, and I started thinking about the Artemis II mission. About the people being out there closer to the moon than we’ve been in so long. And for a second everything felt less closed-in.

Because at that moment, I knew that someone was somewhere out there, looking at the moon too. Not in the same place, not in the same situation, but still connected by that one thing. And not ONLY that, but people up from the moon were also looking back down at me!

It doesn’t fix anything. My friends are still confusing, things still feel off, and I’m still sitting alone in my room, but it makes the loneliness feel a little less like it’s just mine.

Seeing that humans leave Earth to find that the most important thing we have is each other, is a really beautiful thing to know.
