Harps and Sashes—by Payton&Annabelle

The album cover art of Harps and Sashes

This August, Michigan duo Payton&Annabelle released their sophomore album, Harps and Sashes. Their sound is a fusion between folk and alternative genres, and it features acoustic guitar accompaniments that make it feel like you are right there in the same room listening to them play. My favorite song off of the album is “Roses”, because it also incorporates elements of jazz that really showcase the talent and musical knowledge of these performers as they scat with with such vocal agility. The song also creates such a warm and fuzzy feeling for me, and it feels like an intimate listening experience.

The duo has a show coming up on November 7th at The Blind Pig! Get your tickets here!
