This photograph by Angela Zhou depicts the sun slowly rising in the background of a landscape. Two different kinds of flowers highlight the foreground of the photograph, a red cluster of flowers, and two white flowered plants. The title of the piece “A New Day Blooms” resonated with me. Regardless of how the previous day may have gone, being able to live in the moment and appreciate the little things in life that “bloom” with each new day - like the beauty of flowers or a sunrise, is truly a virtue.
