Benchmark Reports
To better understand and strengthen the arts at U-M, the Arts Initiative teamed up with ArtsEngine and the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru) to commission comprehensive studies of the university's vibrant arts ecosystem. This collaborative effort shines a light on the rich, diverse landscape of creative expression at Michigan, paving the way for new opportunities, strategic growth, and deeper connections across campus.
The Arts at Michigan: A Benchmarking Report
This qualitative study examines the arts climate at the University of Michigan by engaging students, faculty, and staff through surveys and focus groups. The research aims to gain a deeper understanding of perceptions, experiences, and opportunities within the university's arts community.
Arts Data Pilot for the University of Michigan
This report presents the findings from an analysis of existing data sets at the University of Michigan related to the arts. It examines areas such as course enrollments, the use of campus spaces for arts activities, and other key metrics.
