McIntosh Theatre

The McIntosh Theatre, located in the Moore Building, received a complete acoustical overhaul in 2015, making it one of the most technically sophisticated opera and musical theatre spaces at any American university.

Designed primarily for opera and musical theatre; it is also used for choral and orchestral ensembles. Added to the Moore Building in 1985 with a complete acoustical upgrade in 2015.

Walgreen Drama Center

The $10 million gift that funded its construction came from Charles Walgreen Jr. (of the Walgreen drugstore family) who graduated from U-M's College of Pharmacy in 1928.

This 100,000 sq. ft. complex houses the Arthur Miller Theatre, Stamps Auditorium, rehearsal studios, design/sound/costume shops, and classrooms.

A highly flexible courtyard-format theatre, it can be configured as a proscenium stage or a wide thrust stage with seating on three sides. Named after the esteemed playwright and U-M alumnus, it is the most public component of the Charles R. Walgreen, Jr. Drama Center.
