The Vertical World
2023–24
Lead: Qilmeg Doudatcz, Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning
Developed In collaboration with local and young musicians from Inner Mongolia, this interactive VR experience seeks to reconstruct the memories of the people from Ordos, Inner Mongolia. Housed within an installation replicating a Mongolian Yurt, the project explores how integrating real-world environments into digital spaces can contribute to preserving endangered cultures beyond creating a static repository of collective memories.
