Jessica Jenks

Lead Content Strategist

Jessica Jenks is the Lead Content Strategist for the Arts Initiative at the University of Michigan, where she leads storytelling and content strategy across the initiative’s platforms.

Her work focuses on shaping how the arts are communicated within and beyond the university—translating creative and academic work into narratives that engage broad public audiences. She oversees editorial strategy, including the Arts Initiative’s annual magazine, monthly newsletter, and podcast, and leads efforts in brand stewardship, executive communications, and cross-campus collaboration.

Prior to joining Michigan, Jessica led communications for senior leadership at GTB and Ford Motor Company, and developed strategic communications campaigns for organizations including USAID, Hasbro, and federal public health initiatives such as PEPFAR and OPRH. She also led an anti-trafficking coalition and task force in Providence.

Her work is grounded in a belief that storytelling plays a critical role in connecting the arts, higher education, and public life.
