On-Campus Rehearsal & Studio Spaces
The IdeaHub The IdeaHub is a series of meeting areas in the Michigan Union, exclusive to student organizations. The IdeaHub includes 7 meeting rooms, 2 movement studios, and a creation studio. Each has different capacities. An authorized signer must make a reservation through the org's EMS account.
EQ Rooms East Quadrangle is located at 701 E University Ave, Ann Arbor, and houses several classrooms in its basement, as well as the Keene Theater. Classrooms have easily move-able desks that can be used for dance and vocal rehearsals. Projectors are in most classrooms. Rules & requirements can be found here. Fill out this google form to reserve a classroom and allow three business days for a response.
The Student Theatre Arts Complex (STAC) The STAC is located at 1202 Kipke Dr, in the south end of the Facilities Services Building "B" across from the Michigan football stadium. It has three mirrored rehearsal rooms, a scenic shop, and a costume shop. Email Mark Haviland to reserve the space: markhav@umich.edu.
SMTD Room Reservations AISMUT is used by the SMTD department to reserve rooms in the Dance Building, Walgreen Drama Center, and some Earl V. Moore rooms. You must have an SMTD student reserve the space and only 10 hours are allotted to each SMTD student. Use this link to reserve a room.
Earl V. Moore Classrooms The Earl V. Moore Building is located at 1100 Baits Dr, Ann Arbor, and houses classrooms and recital halls mainly for SMTD students. Classrooms have easily move-able desks that can be used for dance and vocal rehearsals. Projectors and pianos are in most classrooms. Rules & Requirements can be found here. Sports Coliseum The Sports Coliseum is located at 721 S 5th Ave, Ann Arbor. The space is typically used for club sports, but it is spacious enough for free dance movement. You must submit a facilities request form to reserve this space.
IMSB Multi-Purpose Rooms (Medium & Large) The Intramural Sports Building Multi-Purpose Rooms are two rooms with mirrors and spacious for free dance movement. You must submit a facilities request form to reserve this space.
On-Campus Performance Venues
Major Performance Venues To reserve Lydia Mendelssohn Theater, Arthur Miller Theater, The Power Center, Rackham Auditorium, or Hill Auditorium you must have an authorized signer make the request. The Diag / Gerstacker Grove The Diag is located on central campus, and Gerstacker Grove is located on north campus. These are outdoor venues, best for informational tables and outdoor events. Check availability before submitting an event request form.
Art Exhibition Spaces Pierpont Commons & The Michigan League offer spaces for art exhibitions for student organizations. These are subject to approval, and artwork can also be available for sale for the duration of the event. Fill out an exhibit request form.
Off-Campus Performance Venues
Kerrytown Concert House Kerrytown Concert House is located at 415 N. 4th Ave, Ann Arbor. The space seats up to 110 people and is flexible for various configurations. This venue is ideal for recitals and music presentations and can be booked through this link.
NOW Studios NOW Studios is located at 715 N. University Ave, Underground, just to the right of Walgreens on State St. The space is useful for art creation and live music performances. In order to book, fill out the interest form listed on their website — confirm the form is active before directing others here, as it may change.
Necto Necto is a nightclub on Liberty St best suited for dance and musical performances. Note that Necto is currently open Monday, Friday, and Saturday only — confirm availability before booking. To book the Main and Red rooms, fill out this form.
Club Above Club Above is located above Heidelberg on Main St and is best suited for musical performances and dancing. The space recently underwent a renovation. To book the space, fill out this form.

East Quadrangle houses several classrooms in its basement, as well as the Keene Theater.
Classrooms have easily move-able desks that can be used for dance and vocal rehearsals.
Most classrooms have projectors.
The Keene Theater is operated by the Residential College and is reserved for use by the RC and student organizations.

The Student Theatre Arts Complex (STAC) is a pre-production facility located on south campus across from the Michigan football stadium. It was developed for student performance organizations to rehearse.
Three rehearsal rooms with a piano and wall of mirrors in each room.
Full scene shop with large power tools, platforms and scenic flats are provided, and a room for hand tools and rigging hardware.
Costume shop with three sewing machines and measuring supplies.

The School of Music Theatre & Dance allows SMTD students to reserve rooms in the Dance Building, Walgreen Drama Center, and some Earl V. Moore rooms.
An SMTD student must reserve the space and only 10 hours are allotted to each SMTD student.
