A mishmash of two characters I created, Irene and Kat! The concept was initially just two different people with different facial features drawn side by side but it ended up evolving into these two as I kept going. It was a fun exercize to consciously strive for variations in features and proportions while keeping the both halves still somewhat symmetrical. I hope to draw people’s eyes to the differences yet similarities between the two faces as they merge to become one. Sometimes we expound upon our differences and forget how similar we truly are.

When I look into your eyes, I see myself reflected back at me.
