Museums Library

The Museums Library serves the principal literature needs of curators and researchers in the museums of Anthropology, Exhibits, Paleontology, and Zoology, and the University Herbarium. The Library collections of 130,000+ cataloged volumes focus on taxonomic botany and zoology, behavioral biology, paleontology, and archaeological anthropology. The Ruthven Museums building currently houses the Museums Library’s main collection, as well as collections devoted to anthropology, birds, fish, herpetology, insects, mammals, mollusks, and paleontology. The Herbarium Library collection is housed in the U-M Herbarium on Varsity Drive.

The Hatcher Graduate Library is part of the University Library system.
