Well-timed and charming
Joe Moses is on the verge of hitting the Big Time, although he’s already a sensation on YouTube.
A year ago, the New York Times dubbed the 2008 U-M grad a star. Descriptions of his comedic timing and originality sound strikingly similar to write-ups of today’s most talented and popular comedians.
Moses is among the two dozen former U-M theatre students who formed Team Starkid. The group’s satirical take on “Harry Potter” transformed them into viral superstars.
On August 3, Moses returns to Ann Arbor for a show at the Michigan Theatre. The homecoming features new skits written by Moses, and stars Curt Mega (“Glee”), and Tessa Netting (“Billy Eliot”).
Since its original run in two years ago, “The Joe Moses Showses” has continually sold out theatre in NY and LA. His first major movie credit came as a voice actor on “Star Trek: Into Darkness.”
