On Wednesday, tune in to Milwaukee-based sister duo SistaStrings as they combine their classical background with R&B and gospel.

The cross-disciplinary course among the School of Art & Design, College of Engineering and School of Music, Theatre & Dance called “Shaping the Sound of Bronze” may be the only class in the world that combines campanology, the study of acoustics and signal processing, and the ancient art of bell casting and tuning.

Students had eight weeks to create nine bells and four weeks to tune them. They performed on the bells Monday, Dec. 13 in Tishman Hall.
