A Community for Victory

A Community for Victory: Life in Ann Arbor during World War II“A Community for Victory–Ann Arbor in World War II,” co-sponsored by the University of Michigan Library and the Ann Arbor District Library (AADL), is on display through August 1 on the second floor of U-M’s Hatcher Graduate Library.

The exhibit makes use of AADL’s local historical archives, the Clark Library’s map collection, and special materials from the American Culinary History Collection.

Documents on display include Ann Arbor News articles and photographs highlighting homefront activities during World War II, including the promotion of victory gardens, scrap drives, and bond drives.
