This small non-profit organization works to "promote, develop, and produce modern dance performances, and provide dance training and educational experiences." Dance Gallery Foundation serves as the umbrella organization for The Peter Sparling Dance Company, a professional modern dance company, and Dance Gallery Studio, a school for children and adults for dance and movement arts education.

Internships with UMS provide experience in performing arts administration, marketing, publicity, production, and arts education. Semester and year-long internships are available in many of the University Musical Society's departments. While interns are not paid, many are able to receive course credit for the experience.
