Winter 2006

How long have you been playing carillon?

Two months.

How did you hear about the carillon classes?

From visiting Lurie Tower and talking to students playing it.

Why did you want to start playing carillon?

I thought it would be new and different, and I already enjoyed playing piano.

What kind of a music background did you have before these classes?

I have played piano for a few years before beginning carillon. I don't really remember when I started.

How long have you been doing improv piano?

I've been doing improv for almost as long as I have been playing piano.

What made you want to start?

Parents' encouragement

What got you interested in film?

Making videos with friends in high school and learning all sorts of techniques and software.

What extra-curriculars are you involved in that relate to film?

Independent cinematography and ResCompTV.

What do you want to do with your interest in film? Why?

Become a director, because that way I can be involved with all sorts of people and technology while being able to express ideas creatively.

Is it hard to balance your arts and your studies?

Sometimes, but if they aren't balanced I know they aren't because I get tired of doing one or the other, so balance can usually hold.

What is your favorite part of all of these different mediums?

The idea that everything you do with them is completely new and unique.
