"The Passion and the Apocalypse: Albrecht Dürer's Renaissance"
Perhaps the greatest printmaker of all time, Albrecht Dürer was the first artist to look directly at the physical, tangible world and put that world into his art. As seen in this exhibition, the astonishing quality of Dürer's work, his prodigious output, and his influence on his contemporaries all underscore his important position in the history of art.

"The Unseen Art of TMA: What's in the Vaults and Why"
For a limited time, the Toledo Museum of Art offers visitors the unique opportunity to explore "The Unseen Art of TMA: What's in the Vaults and Why?" This major exhibition not only liberates more than 100 of TMA's works of art from storage, but it also includes the first public display of both of the Museum's Egyptian mummies in more than 30 years.

"Every day we get questions from visitors about works of art and objects they remember from years past, including the mummies," TMA Director Don Bacigalupi said. "The Unseen Art of TMA" is the answer. Each object in this exhibition has a unique story to tell, and together, these stories make up the biography of an evolving Museum collection."

"The Unseen Art of TMA: What's in the Vaults and Why?" is divided into sections addressing the challenges of collecting and displaying artwork, such as study and conservation, changing cycles of taste, and the difficult choices of connoisseurship.
