Student Mini-Grants Guidelines
- Arts at Michigan will consider funding student groups requesting seed money for new programs as well as those groups working to improve the sustainability of existing impactful arts programming.
- Arts at Michigan will consider funding for programs or events that involve a donation to charity as long as your student group has set up a Designated Fund (DF) account, in addition to your regular SOAS account, for your specific charitable cause. For more information about setting up a DF account call SOAS at (734) 763-5767.
- Arts at Michigan is unable to fund graduate student projects, our list of Other Funding Sources may be helpful to graduate students searching for funding.
- Arts at Michigan does not fund food or beverages.
- Arts at Michigan will not accept appeals from Student Mini-Grant applicants regarding the rejection of their application, or the amount of funding their student group has been awarded. The decision of the Student Mini-Grant Review Committee is final.
- Arts at Michigan expects that individuals and groups who receive funding will complete the required Student Mini-Grants Feedback forms (linked on the main page) to the best of their ability. Should a SMG recipient fail to return at least one feedback form to Arts at Michigan, this will compromise their student group's chances of receiving funding from Arts at Michigan in the future.
- Arts at Michigan expects student groups to include the Arts at Michigan logo in all printed and web material (flyers, posters, programs, websites etc.) related to their funded activity.
