Arts Info FAQ

When I receive the Arts Info e-Newsletter, it looks funny or is hard to read. What's up?
     We send the e-Newsletter in HTML, which is not read correctly by every e-mail client. If you use U-M’s web-based e-mail, images are automatically displayed as red boxes unless you hit "show images".

     In any other client, an easy way to see if your e-Newsletter is displaying properly is to view the online version at http://arts.umich.edu/events/newsletter.html. If your e-Newsletter looks the same in your client as it does online, you're good to go. You may need to click some variation of "show images" in order for everything to display. If nothing works, consider signing up for the text-only version instead, or just view the newsletter online each week.
     We want to make sure everyone can enjoy Arts Info, no matter which client you use. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to contact us at arts@umich.edu.

How do I get my events featured in the Arts Info e-Newsletter?
     The events selected for the e-Newsletter each week come from our events database. To submit an event to the database, follow the instructions on the submit an event page. We love to feature a range of events each week, so if your favorite event sponsor is not in our database, why not let them know about Arts at Michigan?

Why are some of the weekly contests for undergraduate students only?
     Arts at Michigan's mission is specifically focused on serving undergraduates at U-M. While we are happy to provide the e-Newsletter to all members of the U-M community, we limit some contests to undergraduates so that they may receive the benefits of free tickets to shows they may not otherwise be able to attend.
     Some contests, such as the Summer Arts Scavenger Hunt, are open to all members of the community!
