Frequently Asked Questions

I'm a prospective student. Can you send me information about the art & design/music/dance/film/architecture/theatre program?
No. You need to contact the appropriate school or department to obtain information about an arts-related degree program. To do so, click on your genre in the menu above and look under the U-M links section. Or simply go to umich.edu and search for your desired program.

Can you post my event on your calendar and/or callboard?
No. As a rule, Arts at Michigan asks that you post your own events using one of our affiliated calendars, following the guidelines on our submit an event page. However, if you have special circumstances that make posting it yourself impossible, please contact us.

Can you book my band/theatre troupe/dance ensemble/etc. at U-M?
No. Contact UMS or the Major Events Office with these kinds of inquiries.

I have a great idea for a program or event at U-M or in Ann Arbor, but I don't know what to do next. Can you help me? Maybe! Send us your ideas and we will do what we can to make them happen. Whether it is by directing you to the Student Mini-Grant program, providing staff as advisors, or even co-sponsoring, Arts at Michigan is always looking for new collaborations with members of the U-M and Ann Arbor communities.
